Rufus Charles Herster, 53, World War Veteran, died Sunday at his home
in
Raubsville, after an illness of one year.
Services will be held in the Adams Home, 206 Spring Garden St., Easton,
at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in the Easton Heights cemetery.
He was born in Easton, a son of the late Charles J. Herster. He attended
Easton Schools and was for a number of years employed as soda clerk
in
Weaver's pharmacy, Center Square, Easton.
Since the World War, hew as employed at Paulson's Market, 1302
Northampton St., Easton, conducted by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Margaret
Paulson.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Survivors are his wife, Henrietta Paulson Herster; one son, Charles
and a
daughter, Margaret, at home; his mother and two brothers, Harold L.
Easton
and Russell, Detroit, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Waterbor, also of Detroit.
