Willard B.. Grube, 68, was Masonic Leader
Willard B. Grube, 68, of 585 Belfast Road, Plainfield Township, formerly of Easton, died Saturday at Easton Hospital.
He owned and operated the former Grube Gulf Station, Easton from 1950 until retiring in 1983. Before that, he worked for the J.T. Baker Chemical Co., Phillipsburg, or several years.
Born Jan 18, 1918, in Easton he was a son of the late Stanley and Mary Bryan Grube.
Mr. Grube, a 1935 graduate of Easton High School, was a member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church. College Hill chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, Dallas Lodge 396, F&AM; Forks of the Delaware Shrine Club, and the Hi 12 Club, all of Easton; Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, Rajah Temple, Reading, Knights Templar, and Lehigh Commandry. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.
A past grand tall cedar of Easton Forest 35 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, he served on the board of directors of the Century Club of Easton.
Surviving are his wife, the former M. Frances McNicholas; two sons, ****. of Easton, and ***** of Forks Township; a brother, Kenneth E. of Forks Township, a half sister, ******, Palmer Township and six grandchildren.
Services wil be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in College Hill Presbyterian Church Interment will be in Forks Cemetery, Forks Township. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of arrangements |
