Martin L. Good, Former Forks School Official
Martin L. Good, 87, of 340 High St., Tatamy, a former member
of the Forks Township School Board, died yesterday in Easton
Hospital where he was admitted March 13.
Born in Richmond, Bangor R. D., he was a son of the late henry
and Josephine Correll Good. His wife the former Martha Harding,
died in 1962. He lived in Tatamy 30 years.
Mr. Good was employed as a pattern maker by the Pennsylvania
Pump & Compressor Co. 17 years, retiring in 1955. Before
that he was employed by the Messinger Manufacturing Co, Tatamy.
He was a former president, vice president, treasurer and secretary
of the forks Township School Board during the 1930’s
He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ,
Tatamy, and the Tatamy fire Co.
Survivors include two sons, Harold, with whom he resided and
Paul S., Belvidere, M.H.; a daughter, Mrs. Burton Rader, Tatamy;
a sister, Mrs. William Johnson, Easton; six grandchildren and
111 great-grandchildren A grandson and a great-grandson died
before him.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Schmidt Mortuary,
Nazareth. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
