Rader-Weaver, Marion A.

Marion A. Rader-Weaver, 96, of Phoebe Home of Allentown, Pa, since March of 2001, died Sunday, August 10, 2008.

Born: On November 24, 1911 in Bangor, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Martin L. and Martha Harding Good. Personal: She was the widow of Harry A. Weaver.

Her first husband, Burton F. Rader, died earlier.

She grew up on a farm in Forks Township, Pa. A homemaker, Marion enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She was a dedicated church worker and school and community volunteer.

Memberships: Marion was a lifetime member of the Shutanka Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of Pen Argyl, Pa (formerly the Ethel Chapter of Bangor). She served as worthy matron from 1953 to 1954 and from 1985 to 1986. She also served as District Deputy Grand Matron. She was also a member and served as president of the Bangor Women's Club and as president of the Northampton County Federation of Women's Clubs.

Survivors: Marion is survived by her son of Bangor; her daughterof Chalfont, Pa; her brother of Tatamy, Pa; her sister-in-law of Belvidere, NJ; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her brother, Paul Good, died earlier.

Services: Will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. First St., Bangor. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Plainfield, Pa.
