Charles D. Fox, 83, of East Stroudsburg, formerly of Williams
Township, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre,
Luzerne County. He was the husband of Carol A. (Smith) Fox.
He worked as a laborer for the Pennsylvania Department of
Conservation and Natural Resources at Edgemere, Pike County,
for 11 years before retiring in 1982. Previously, he was a
forklift driver for 38 years for America Can Co., Dixie Division,
Easton. He was forest fire warden in district 19, Pike County,
since 1982.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mayme
(Brown) Fox.
He was a member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
He was on the board of directors of the Pocono Forestry Association,
Monroe County.
He was a life member of the Order of the Fleas, Easton, a
charter member of the Pa. Fire Museum Association, a member
of the Pecks Lake Sportsman Association of Pike County and
Williams Township Historical Society.
Survivors: Wife; a niece and a nephew.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday in his home, 1350 Resica
Falls Road, East Stroudsburg. Arrangements, Lanterman & Allen
Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg. |
