Mrs. Howard Bertrand
Mrs. Bertha May Folk Bertrand, 74, of 114 S. 9th St., died
last night in Easton Hospital. Mrs. Bertrand fractured her
hip on Sept. 12 and had been at the hospital since that time.
Mrs. Bertrand was the wife of Howard Bertrand. Born Aug. 29,
1883, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Horace and
Anna Wilhelm Folk.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Paul H.
Bertrand, Easton, deputy warden of Northampton County Prison;
four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Sutton. Bethlehem; Mrs. Reuben McDermitt,
Jersey City, N.J.; Mrs. John Eversole, Trenton, N.J., and Mrs.
Howard Holden, Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y.; a brother,
Clarence Folk, Easton; Easton; three grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday during at the
Bender funeral Home, Easton.
