Paul Bertrand, 73, former Northampton County Warden.
Paul H. Bertand, 73, former warden of the Northampton county
Prison, died today in Easton Hospital. In failing health for
several years, he lived at 2 Westgate Ave., Palmer Township.
He was warden for five years retiring in 1966. Before coming
warden, he was deputy warden for 11 years.
Mr. Bertrand previously was an electrician in the Easton School
District for five years after being a relay technician for
Metropolitan-Edison Do. in Easton for 28 years.
Born in Easton on Sept. 9, 1904, he was a son of the late
Howard E. and Bertha M. Folk Bertrand.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran church, easton, Dallas
Lodge 296 F&AM, Easton, Lehigh Consistory, Allentown; Rajah
Temple, Reading; Easton Forest 35, Rall Cedars of Lebanon,
and american association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are his wife the former Rosa A. Dagostine; three
daughters, eight grandchldren
and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ashton Funeral
Home, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. |
