John A. Ebner, hospital Lab technician
John A. Ebner, 76, of 671 Elder Ave., Philipsburg, died Sunday,
April 12, 1in the Care Center of Brakely Park, Lopatcong Townshp.
He ws a chief laboratory technician at Warren Hospital for
28 years, retiriing in 1984, Prior to that he worked in the
laboratory at J. T. Baker chemical Co. in Philllipsburg.
Obrn Oct 1, 1921, in Easton, he was a son of the late James
J. Ebner and the late Naomi Ebner Van Luvender. He lived in
the philipsburg area all os his life.
He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Phillispburg,
where he was a former member of the church choir and a former
member of the Wesley Youth Group.
He was a former member of the Hillcrest Camera Club, where
he served as president, secretary and treasurer.
An avid bird watcher, he was a member of the Audubon Society
of New Jersey.
He as a member fo the Chapman club of Philipsburg; and was
a meber of the Easton Oratorio Society.
A 1939 graduate of Wilson High School, he atteded Muhlenberg
and Lafayette colleges.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He and his wife, the former Mae D. Breish, observed their
53rd Wedding anniversary in Decmeber.
In addition to his wife, his is survived by a sister, Ruth
E. Meyers of Lopatcong Townhsip; and nices and nephews.
A brother, Frederick G., died earlier.
Cremation will be private and held at the convenience of the
family.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wesley
United Mthodist church, Miller Street at Potts, Phillipsburg.
There will be no calling hours.
The Rupell Fuenral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Philipsburg
