Robert W. Davis, 63, Was Grocer in Palmer Twp.
Robert W. Davis, 63, of 1158 Stone's Crossing, Palmer Township,
died unexpectedly early today at his home.
Mr. Davis operated Davis' Grocery store at the Stone's Crossing
address for the last six years. Before that he had worked
for the Northampton Tobacco Co. for two years and for the
Ingersoll-Rand Co. for nine years.
Born Sept 14, 1893, in Bloomsbury, he as a son of Wilson
Davis, Phillipsburg, and the late Ellen Nixon Davis. He was
married to the former Jessie Werkheiser.
He was a charter member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Chruch,
Stone's Crossing, and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving, in addition to his widow and father, are a son,
and two grandsons. A sister, Mrs. Joseph Sholes, died
three months ago.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Strunk
Funeral Home, Easton. |
