Mrs. U. Grant Abbott
Mrs. Alice V. Barnet, Abbott, 67, wife of U. Grant Abbott, of 911 Northampton Street, this city, died at 3 o’clock this morning at the Orange N.J., Memorial Hospital from a heart attack which resulted from injuries received in a fall at the home of her son, George B. Abbott, I West Orange, on March 4. She accidently fell down a flight of stairs, fracturing one of her hips. She was removed to the hospital and her condition improved until last evening when she was suddenly stricken with a heart attack.
Mrs. Abbott was born in Easton and was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Barnet. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, George B. of West Orange and William A. Abbott, of Rockville Centre N.Y., and by a daughter, Mrs. H. Hamilton Weber, of Summit, N.J. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Anna B. Jones 211 North 13th Street this city. Mrs. Abbott was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church and had many friends here. The body will be brought to this city for funeral services and interment. |
