Sudden Demise of Isaac A. Hess
Was in his Usual Health on Thursday and Walked About the Yard -- Passed Aw ay at 4:40 A.m.
Isaac A. Hess, aged 61 years, died very suddenly at 4:30 a.m. today at h is home, 1225 Douglas Street. Deceased who had been ailing with dropsy f or 23 weeks, was about the house as usual on Thursday, and walked out in to the yard for a short time. Mr. Hess retied about 9 o'clock this morni ng he again lay down. His wife noticed that he was very quiet. He beg an to breath heavily. She spoke to hime, but he did no answer, and in a f ew moments he passed peacefull away.

Mr. Hess was a son of the late Rev. Isaac and Hannah Hess, who died with in three weeks of each other two years ago, and hwas born and reared at Sp ringtown Bucks County. He was a paperhanger and patinter by trade, and aft er his marriage went to Phila., where he remained five years, working at h is trade. He ten moved to his father's farm, one mile above Shoemakersvill e, where he lived for 19 years. In 1897 he moved to this city with his fam ily. He was employed at his trade at the Reading Car shops over five year s. Since then he was entry clerk for the Reading Hardware Company.

Besides his widow, Sybilia (Nee Unangst) deceased is surived by two daught ers, Laura May, wife of Thaddeus A. Hassinger, and Mamie C. wife of Charl es C. Miller; two grandchildren, three brothers, Leo J. Hess, Phila., a nd elmer E. Hess, and two sisters, Mrs.Mary German, Allentown, and Mrs. El mira E. Fehr, Hellertown. He was a member of Ebenezer Evangelical Church.
