Heist January 25, 2009|The Morning Call Morgan R. Heist, 82, of Wescosville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 200 9, at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, Davenport, Florid a. He was the husband of Louise C. (Laudenslager) Heist. They celebrated t heir 61st wedding anniversary last April. Born in Wescosville, he was a s on of the late Oliver G. and Beulah F. (Reichard) Heist. He was an electri cian with IBEW Local 375, Allentown, for 45 years before retiring in 199 1. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Trexlertown. He w as a member of Macungie V.F.W. and a lifetime member of Wescosville Fife C ompany. An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 76th Divisi on in the European theatre and received a Purple Heart medal. Survivors: Wife; son, Thomas M. and his wife Nancy of New Holland; daughte r, Sally A. Heist of Mertztown; brothers, Robert of Northampton, Luke of L ake Worth, Fla., Paul of Allentown; sisters, Arlene, wife of Ernest Ru th of Macungie, Alice Adams of Emmaus; four grandchildren, six great-grand children. Three brothers, Ralph, Earl and Wilber, and two sisters, Franc es Muhlberger and Marion Nolan, predeceased him.
