Ralph A.J. Heist

Ralph A.J. Heist, 92, formerly of Trexlertown, died Monday, Dec. 24, in Lu ther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall Township. He was the husb and of Estella A. (Spohn) Heist, who died in 1999.

He was a self-employed electrical contractor in Trexlertown for more th an 50 years before retiring in 1971.

Born in Wescosville, he was a son of the late Oliver G. and Beulah F. (Rei chard) Heist.

He was an elder and former consistory and choir member of St. Paul's Unit ed Church of Christ, Trexlertown.

He served on the board of the former Fogelsville National Bank and the adv isory committee of the former Merchants National Bank, Allentown, 1965-82.

A 32nd degree Mason, he was a member of Lehigh Lodge 326, Trexlertown; Leh igh Consistory, Valley of Allentown, and Rajah Shrine, Reading.

He was a member of Grundsow Lodge 1, Northampton, and a life member of Goo dwill Fire Company No. 1 and the Rural Sportsman's Association, both of Tr exlertown.

Survivors: Son, Ronald A. of Breinigsville; brothers, Earl of Macungie, Mo rgan of Wescosville, Robert and Luke, both of Northampton, Paul of Allento wn; sisters, Frances Muhlberger and Marion Nolan, both of Allentown, Arle ne Ruth of Macungie, Alice Adams of Emmaus; a granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday in t he church. Arrangements, Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.

Graveside services: 11:45 a.m.Saturday in the church cemetery.
