Joseph E. Reichard
Joseph E. Reichard, a widely known farmer of South Whitehall township, di ed Saturday night at 11 o?clock from ailments incident to old age. Mr. Ri chard was confined to bed since January. He was aged 76 years, 1 month a nd 3 days.
He was a native of South Whitehall township and was a son of the late Jose ph and Florence Frankenfield Reichard. He conducted a large farm near h is native place and served for several terms as supervisor of South Whiteh all public roads. He was a lifelong member of Cedarville Lutheran churc h, Community Fire Co., South White, the South Whitehall Beneficial associa tion and Cedar Council, 416, F. P. A., of Wescosville.
There services his aged widow, Amelia, nee Woodring, Richard, and the foll owing children, Mrs. Herbert Ruch, and Mrs. Robert Bergstrtesser, Kratzer s; Clinton Reichard, of Lowhill and Newton Richard, this city.
A son Frank, preceded him in death fourteen years ago. Eleven grandchildre n, one great-grandchild and one brother, Samuel E. Reichard, of Indiana, a lso survive.
The funeral will be held from the home of his son-in-law and daughter, M r. and Mrs. Robert Bergstresser, Kratzer?s School house, on Thursday at 1: 30 o?clock, standard time. Further services will be held at 2:30 o?clo ck in the Cedarville Union Church. Interment will be made in the cemete ry adjoining the church. |
