Mrs. Amelia R. Reichard
Ill with complications for the past year. Mrs. Amelia, nee Woodring, Reich ard, widow of Joseph E. Reichard, passed away yesterday morning, aged 81 years, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Bergstresser, Kratzer's school house. She was bedfast only two weeks.
Mrs. Reichard was born at Cracksport, South Whitehall township, February 11, 1853, a daughter of the late Tighman and Matilda, nee Hoffman, Woodring. She resided in this section all her life, and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bergstresser, for the past eleven years. Her husband and two sons, Franklin and Newton, preceded her in death.
She was long a member of Cedarville Reformed Church, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
There survive to mourn her passing the following children; Mrs. Bergstresser, with whom she lived; Mrs. Herbert Miller and Mrs. Charles Marcks, Fullerton; Mrs. Henry Sleight and Mrs. Clarence Smith, Allentown, and Clint on Reichard, Orefield, One sister, Ella Woodring, Allentown; two brothers, Tilghman of Crackersport and Edward, of Ambler; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at her late home, with continued services in Cedarville church at 2:15. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. John L. Guth will officiate. |
