Mrs. Ellen Reiss
Mrs. Ellen Cora (Rothrock) Reiss, 87, died last night at the Mary Ellen Convalescent Home in Easton after an illness of several months.
The widow of Martin W. Reiss, she leaves 118 Survivors.
Mrs. Reiss was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rothrock. She was a lifelong resident of Hellertown, residing at 173 Main St.
Mrs. Reiss was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown.
Survivors are the following children, Howard, Earl, Arthur, Elmer, Clarence and Harleigh Reiss, all of Hellertown; Calvin Reiss, Gauffs Hill; Mrs. Elias Grube, Hellertown R., 1; Mrs. William Kemmerer, Center Valley. A son Michael preceded her in death.
Also, surviving are two brothers, Henry Rothrock, of Allentown; Howard Rothrock, Miller Heights, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Sourwine, Hellertown R. 1, and Mrs. Victor Koch, Center Valley R, 1. There are 50 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Falk Funeral Home, 1412 Main St., Hellertown.

Mrs. Martin W. Reiss
Mrs. Ellen Cora Rothrock Reiss, 67, widow of Martin W. Reiss, 173 Main St., Hellertown, died last night in the Mary Ellen Convalescent Home, Hellertown. She had been ill for four months.
Born in Hellertown, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rothrock. She was a lifelong resident of Hellertown.
Mrs. Reiss was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown.
Surviving are seven son, Howard, Earl, Arthur, Elmer, Clarence and Harleigh, all of Hellertown, and Calvin, Gauff’s Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Elias Grube, Hellertown R. D. 1, and Mrs. William Kemmerer, Center Valley; two brothers, Henry Rothrock, Allentown, and Howard Rothrock, Miller Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Sourwine, Hellertown R. D. 1, and Mrs. victor Koch, Center Valley R. D. 1; 50 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
A son, Michael, died before her. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Falk Funeral Home, Hellertown.
