Mrs. Harry Abel
Mrs. Mary Ann Abel, 84, widow of Harry Abel, died last night at 9:15 o’clock at her home on Mauch Chunk Street, Nazareth.
Mrs. Abel was born in Lower Mt. Bethel Township on Aug 15, 1868 a daughter of the late Levi and Lucetta Abel Hahn. Before moving to Nazareth several years ago, she lived in Bath.
She was a member of Walnut Street Presbyterian Church, Bath, and its Ladies’ Aid Society.
Mrs. Abel was married twice. Her first husband George F. Hutchison died in 1925, and Mr. Abel died six years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Paul and Charles Able, both of Bath; three daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Michael of Bath; Mrs. Chester Townsend of Bethlehem and Mrs. James Sandt of Nazareth; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Bartholomew funeral home, Bath. The Rev. Asher Gottschalk, pastor of Haman Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, Nazareth will officiate. Interment will be in Greenmount cemetery, Bath.
