James H. Hahn, 83, Was Retired Farmer
James H. Hahn, 83, a retired farmer of Kesslersville, Nazareth R. D3, died Saturday night in Bett’s Hospital where he was admitted Aug. 2, He had been ill for three weeks.

Born in Lower Mt. Bethel Township on Aug 15, 1868, he was a son of the late Levi and Lucetta Abel Hahn. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran church, Plainfield, He retired as a farmer in 1957.

He is survived by his wife, the former Cula E. Diehl; three sons, Oscar L., Marcus J. and Howard E. Hahn, all of Nazareth R. D3; four daughter, Mrs. Lewis E. Messinger and Mrs. Earl J. Itterly, both of Ackermanville, Mrs. Charles W. Jones, of Bangor, and Mrs. Clarence P. Werkheiser, of Nazareth R.D. 3; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a twin sister, Mrs. Mary Abel, of Nazareth.

Funeral services will be held at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Wind Gap, on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.; with the Rev. L.B. Klick, pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Plainfield Cemetery.
