Mrs. Clarence Werkheiser

Mrs. Anna M. Werkheiser, 64, of 152 N. Main St., Nazareth, died last night in Easton Hospital. She was hospitalized three weeks. She was in ill health the last 2 ½ years.

Mrs. Werkheiser was the wife of Clarence E. Werkheiser, retired mail carrier. Born in Edelman Plainfield Township, on Feb. 19, 1895 she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca McIlhaney Young. She resided in Nazareth since 1917.

She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Belfast the Home Department of the Sunday school and the WSCS of the church; Nazareth Chapter 252, order of Eastern Star, and the Nazareth Republican Council. She was charter member of the Auxiliary of Kenneth S. Bowers Post, VFW World War II Mothers and the home Association, all of Nazareth.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, William C. Reno, Nev., and Elton S. Nazareth; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth J. Shook Nazareth, and Mrs. Leo L. Clewell, Wilson and five grandsons.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the F. W. Schmidt Mortuary Nazareth.
