John Woodring
John Woodring, a lifelong resident of this to vicinity, died at 420 o’clock Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna SS, 992 Wilkes-Barre Street, South Side, of pneumonia, following an illness of a week. Mr. Woodring was born in Cedarville on December 28, 1845 and was therefore in the 75th year. For 42 years he conducted a milk route in the Easton and resided on a farm at Bushkill Park. A month ago he moved to the Wilkes-Barre street address. Surviving him are the following children: Mrs. Wilson Edelman, Bethlehem: Mrs. Charles Koch, Nazareth: Mrs. Anna Hess, at home: Mrs. Mamie Gruver, Bushkill Park: Mrs. Edward Claus, Bushkill Park commons and John Woodring, of Dunellen New Jersey; a sister, Mrs. Jacob Walters, of Wilson borough; and two brothers, William Woodring, of Easton, and George Woodring, of Nazareth. 23 grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive. He was a member of Arndt’s Messinger Reformed church. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter Thursday afternoon at 1:00. Services at Arndt’s church at 2 o’clock.
