Leaps to Death from Third Floor
Aged South Side Woman Had Been in Ill Health
Mrs. Sallie Randolph, 72 years old, wife of Henry L. Randolph,
of 728 Seitz Avenue, suffered fatal injuries shortly before
10 o'clock this morning when she leaped from the third story
window of her home. She landed on concrete pavement in an
alleyway leading to the rear of the home.
Mrs. Frank Trunk, a next-door neighbor, saw an object drop
past her window and then hear the sound of a falling body.
She went out and discovered Mrs. Randolph unconscious. Easton
Hospital Ambulance was summoned and took her to the hospital
where she died at 10:55 o'clock. Many bones were broken.
Duputy Coroner, Dr. Theodore Reichbaum, after an investigation,
said that he learned Mrs. Randolph had not been in the best
of health, and had been despondent. He issued a certificate
of death by suicide.
