Rodney Wilhelm, Auto Parts Store Salesman, Is Dead
Ex-Firestone Manager, Lifelong Resident of Easton, Was 64
Rodney W. Wilhelm, 64, of 713 Porter St., Easton, a salesman
for the J.D. Snyder auto accessories store at 1019 Northampton
St., and former manager of the Firestone Co. store in Easton,
died today at 9:30 a.m. in Easton Hospital, where he was
admitted yesterday. He had been in failing health for the
last three weeks.
Mr. Wilhelm was employed for the last 10 years by the auto
firm. He formerly was manger of the Firestone store of many
years when it was located on South Fourth Street. At one
time he was employed in the advertising department of the
former Morning Free Press.
Born on June 18, 1890, he was a son of the late Moses and
Mary Hines Wilhelm. He was a lifelong resident of Easton.
Mr. Wilhelm was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Easton.
Surviving are his widow, the former Culah Osterstock, and
his granddaughter, Miss Joan Wilhelm, at home. A son, Jack
died before him.
