Robert Wilhelm, 76, Owner of Oyster House
Robert E. Wilhelm, 76, North Delaware Drive, died today in
Betts Hospital shortly after admittance. He had been under
a doctor's care.
Mr. Wilhelm owned and operated the Wilhelm Oyster House, Sitgreaves
Street, Phillipsburg, until he retired 15 years ago. He previously
worked in the shipping department of Ingersoll-Rand Co.
Born Sept. 18, 1892, in Phillipsburg, he was a son of Mrs.
Sebina Miller, Nazareth R.D. 1, and the late Robert Wilhelm.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Golden Age
Club and the MORA club, both Easton. He was an Armyu veteran
of World War I.
His wife, the former Celia DePamphilis, died in 1961.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Barr, Avona Heights;
two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Bisher, Washington, and Mrs. Vriginia
Thomas, Easton, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in teh Ricci Memorial
Chapels. |
