Man Found Dead in bed
Howard Wilhelm Had been a Sufferer With Heart Disease
Howard Wilhelm 58 years old who had been employed in local cafes
and restaurants for many years, was found dead in bed shortly
before 5 o'clock last evening at the lodging house of Harry Redline,
127 North fourth Street, where he had roomed for the past four
years. He had been dead about ten hours when the body was discovered.
Dr. Theodore Reichbaum deputy coroner, pronounced death due to
acute dilatation of the heart, following a prolong illness from
chronic heart trouble. The last he was seen alive was about 10:30
o'clock Wednesday night when he retired. When he did not leave
his room yesterday morning or early afternoon nothing was thought
of it as he frequently remained in his room practically all day
when he did not feel well.
He was a native and lifelong resident of this city and a son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wilhelm. He is survived by the
following brothers and sisters: Louis Wilhelm and Mrs. Charles
Hester, both of Easton; Mrs. Walter Cyphers, of Cherry Hill,
and George Wilhelm and Mrs. Louis Alex, both of Detroit, Mich.,
He was a member of Elon Lodge, No. 694, I.O.O.F.; Washington
Camp, No. 407, P. O. S. Of A., and the Woodmen of the World.
