Arthur E. Walters
Arthur E. Walters, 82, of Plainfield Township, formerly of
Nazareth, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, in St. Luke's Hospital
in Fountain Hill.
Born: March 23, 1921, in Plainfield Township, he was a son
of the late Charles and Sarah Florey Walters.
Personal: He was a meter reader for Met-Ed in Forks Township
and Portland for 21 years, before retiring in 1986. Earlier
in his life, he had worked for the former Nazareth Planing
Mill and after retirement, he drove a school bus for William
Cooper in the Pen Argyl Area School District. Arthur served
in the Army Air Corps 84th Air Borne Division during World
War II. Memberships: He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church in Plainfield Township.
Survivors: two daughters, a sister, two
grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and his companion, Victoria
Nelson of Plainfield Township. Two sisters, Charlotte Richards
and Florence Wagner, both died earlier. Services: Graveside
services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Plainfield Cemetery
in Plainfield Township under the the direction of the Schmidt
Funeral Home in Nazareth. Calling hours will be private. |
