Paul Walter, Chief at M-E for 42 Years
Paul I. Walter, 69, of 123 Wilkes-Barre St., died yesterday afternoon in Easton Hospital where he was admitted July 9.
Mr. Walter was chief of the construction and maintenance department of metropolitan Edison Co., Easton. He retired in 1969 after 42 years of service.
Born in Easton on July 13, 1904, he was a son of the late Jacob T. and Susan Bright Walter.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Easton; Washington Camp 542, POS of A., Nazareth; international Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the met0Ed Employees Association. Inc.
Survivors include his widow, the former Alma C. Hartzell; a daughter, a brother, Jacob T. Jr., Bethlehem; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Uhl, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Ethel H. Petty, Easton, and three grandchildren
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Strunk Funeral home, Easton. Interment will be in South EastonCemetery
