Howard J. Walter
Howard J. Walter, 72, of 143 N. Eighth St., Tatamy, died
Sunday in his home.
He was a doffer with the former Collins and Aikman Co.;,
Penn Argyl, for 13 years, retiring in 1975. He was also a
knitter at Kaiser Hosiery Milles, Bangor.
Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late John and Berdie
Lieberman Walter. He resided in Tatamy for the last 14 years,
formerly living in Wind Gap.
Mr. Walter was a member of Grace Lutheran Chruch, Belfast;
Bushkill Valley Lions Club, and the Nazareth and Wind Gap
Senior Citizens.
His first wife, the former Alice Peters, died in March 1966.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Boyer; a daughter,
two brothers, Elwood of Upper Nazareth
Township, and Raymond of East Bangor; three grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
