Dr. N. C. Uhler, 73, Dentist in Nazareth, Dies
Dr. Norman C. Uhler, 73, Nazareth Dentist and a graduate of Lafayette College, died yesterday in Lancaster General Hospital.
Dr. Uhler practiced dentistry in Nazareth from 1924 to 1956. He was graduated from Lafayette I 1910 and the School of Dentistry, University of Pennsylvania in 1923.
Born in Easton, he was a so of the late Valentine and Mary Fraunfelder Uhler.
He was supervising principal at Lake Township schools in 1913 -14 and head of the biology department of Wilkes-Barre High School from 1914 -1918.
He was a member of Forks Lutheran Church, Lehigh Valley Dental Society, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American dental Association.
Surviving are his widow, the former Lelia messenger; a son, Dr. Irvin Uhler, Lancaster; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Dietz, State College, and Mrs. Dora Shimer, Easton; two grandchildren two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Knecht Funeral Home, Nazareth. |
