Sarah Catherine Laubach, 84, of Manzanedo Lake, East Stroudsburg, died after an illness Saturday in the home of her daughter, ***** of North Syracuse, N.Y.
She was the wife of the late Floyd Franklin Laubach.
She was a clerk at the post office substation of Leslie's Drug Store, Easton, for 15 years until retiring. During World War II she was a torpedo painter for Taylor-Wharton Manufacturing, Palmer Township.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Elmer James and Annie Mae (Fishler) Stout.
She served on the Easton Area School Board from 1955 to 1973, having been president for five years and vice president for four.
She also served on the Easton Library Board, the Northampton County Combined School Board and the Easton Area Vocational Technical High School Board. She was president of the Easton Recreation Board from 1958 to 1968.
She was a member of Wooddale Methodist Church, East Stroudsburg.
Survivors: Daughter; son **** of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Helen Krewson and Elizabeth Remaly, both of Easton, and Gene MacGregor of Milford, Conn.; nine grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
