John M. Stocker
John M. Stocker, 88, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of Reading
died Wednesday in Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He was the husband of Margaret (Schubert) Stocker.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Clarence M. and
Mary (Jacobs) Stocker.
Stocker was employed for more than 30 years as a patent attorney
by Merck Drug Co., Rahway, N.J. until his retirment.
He also taught high school for three years in Pennsylvania.
Stocker was a Reading High School graduate and a 1935 graduate
of Pennsylvania State University, where he was basketball team
captain and senior class president.
He also attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School,
Philadelphia.
Stocker was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by two sons, *****., Irvine, calif,
and *****, Darien, Conn.
Other survivors include two sisters, Margaret C. (Stocker)
Vale, Detroit , and M. Elizabeth (Stocker) Rohrbach, Reading.
There are also four grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 6 p.m. in Kraeer Funeral Home,
Pompano Beach. Burial will be in Pompano Beach Cemetery. |
