Raymond E. Stem, Jr.
Raymond E. Stem Jr., 56 of 1538 Monocacy St. in Bethlehem, died Wednesday in his home.
Before retiring in 1986, he was employed by Maier's Bakery in Palmer Township for 36 years.
Born in Wilson, he was a son of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Katherine Wolf Stem.
Mr. Stem was a member of College Hill Moravian Church in Bethlehem. He served as an airman first class with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict, and with the Air Force Reserves.
During the early 1970's he was an assistant cubmaster for Cub Pack 354 in Bethlehem; an assistant coach for the Cats baseball team of the South Bethlehem Little League; and a coach for the 80-pound team of the Bethlehem Saints Football organization.
He and his wife, the former ****, celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary last December.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, *****. of Bethlehem; a son, *****. of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Richard P. of Phillipsburg, and Robert L. of Wilson; a sister, Gertrude Harrison of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a. . Saturday in College Hill Moravian Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park in Bethlehem. The long Funeral Home in Bethlehem is in charge of arrangements. |
