William L. Steckel, 69, formerly of Easton, died Saturday, Dec. 18, in Gracedale, Upper, Nazareth Township.

He was an elevator operator at the former Hotel Easton many years ago.

Born in DeLand, Fla., he was a son of the late Leslie and Ruth Steckel.

He was a Lutheran.

Survivors: Half brother, George Franklin Penn of Loysville, Perry County.

Services: Private. No calling hours. Arrangements, Morello Funeral Home, Easton.
