W. B. Spangenberg, Former Employee of Ingersoll-Rand
William B. Spangenberg, Jr. 63, of 71 Carleton Ave., Washington, N.J. died yesterday in the Warren Hospital following a long illness.
He was employed for many years in the maintenance department of Ingersoll-Rand Co. Born in Oxford, N.J.. He was a son of William B. Spangenberg Sr. and Carrie Hyler Spangenberg. His widow the former Anna Mae Armbrecht, is the Washington Borough Tax collector.
He was a member of the First Baptist church of Washington, N.J.; the navel Lodge No 4, F&AM of Washington D.C. and Warren County Forest No. 14, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
He served four years in the United States Army Band as a trumpeter. Mr. Spangenberg was the former assistant director of the Hackettstown Firemen’s Band
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jean Pence, Washington, N.J, and Mrs. Lois Rodgers, Paducah, Ky., a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Burd, Washington; two brothers, Harry Spangenberg, of Weathersfield, Conn., and Franklin Spangenberg of Oxford, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown. |
