John F. Souder
John Foreman Souders, 45, a former resident of Upper Black
Eddy, died yesterday in Monroe County General Hopsital, East
Stroudsburg, where he was a patient nine days. He lived in
Sciota.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, N.J., he was a son of the late John
and Sarah Wieder Souders.
Mrs. Souders was an auto mechanic and a former chief of the
Upper Black Eddy fire Co. He was a veteran of World War II
and a member of the Blue Ridge-Cherry Vallley Rod and Gun Club
and the Blue Ridge Fire Co.
Survivng are his widow, the former Claire Opdycke, Harmony:
a son, a sister, Mrs. Lester L. Hillpot,
Upper Black Eddy, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in teh Johnson
Funeral Home, Frenchtown. Interment will be in Riegelsville
Union Cemetery. |
