John H. Smock
John H. Smock, 73, of 433 Birch Road, Hellertown, died Friday in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Helen (Young) Smock.
He worked in the general services department of Bethlehem Steel Corp for 27 years before retiring in 1970.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William and Cora (Grube) Smock.
Surviving with his widow are a son Wayne, at home; a daughter, Bernice wife of Joseph Wargo of Hellertown, four sisters, Ruth, wife of David DeFrain, Margaret, wife of Charles Smith, Frances, wife of Paul McCandless and Helen, wife of Emory Matz, all of Bethlehem, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the William R. Norcross Funeral Home, Main and Oxford streets, Coopersburg. A calling hour will preceded the services. |
