Frances A. McCandless, 84, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 in St. Lukes Hospital. She was the wife of Paul R. McCandless. They celebrated their 59th anniversary last June 28. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late William and Cora (Grube) Smock. She was last employed as a sales clerk by the former Orrs department store, and previously worked at Laros Co. and Warners. Frances was a member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, Bethlehem Township.
Survivors: Husband; sister, ***** of Bethlehem; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Helen Matz, Mildred Hinnerschietz, and Margaret Smith; brothers, Walter and John Smock.
Services: Will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Friends and family are invited to call 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
