Harold E. Smith, 73, of 140 Shelley St., Tatamy, died Thursday in Northampton
Convalescent Center, Easton. He was the husband of Isabel (King) Smith and the
late Anna (Temmel) Smith and Dorothy (Person) Smith.
He was a machine mechanic for the Kraemer Textile Co, Nazareth,
for 40 years before retiring in 1982.
Born in Bushkill Township, he was a son of the late Freeman
and Eva (Davidson) Smith.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, **** and *****,
both of Wind Gap; two brothers, Lester of East Lawn and ****
of Georgetown, both in Upper Nazareth Township; five sisters,
Florence, wife of Michael Shabon of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., Mrs.
Berdie Abel of Allentown, Mrs. ***** of Tatamy, Mrs.
Marion Werner of Walnutport and Hilda, wife of Herbert Boyer
of Bangor; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildre
n.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Schmidt Mortuary,
407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m.
Sunday.
