CHARLES SHOOK, 82, RETIRED TEACHER IN BANGOR AREA
Charles R. Shook, 82, of 221 S. 4th St., a retired teacher, died last night in Easton Hospital where he was admitted last Thursday.
Mr. Shook was a teacher in the Bangor area. He taught at schools in Richmond, Jacktown, Stone Church and Johnsonville. He also farmed in the Richmond area for many years and later worked for the Julius Kayser Hosiery Co. in Bangor as a payroll clerk. Mr. Shook was graduated from Easton Academy and attended East Stroudsburg Normal School. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bangor.
Survivors include his widow, the former Minnie J. Frantz, a son, and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Centerville Cemetery, Stone Church |
