James Sherman, 76, of 623 W. Milton St., Easton, died Sunday
in Easton Hospital after being stricken at home. He was the
husband of Leona (Kelley) Sherman. They observed their 49th
wedding anniversary last July.
Sherman was a plumber at Warren Hospital until retiring. Before
that he was a self-employed plumber in the Easton area.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Harry D. and Estelle
(Diehl) Sherman.
He was past president of the Citizen Hose Co., Easton.
Survivors: Wife; son, James R., and daughter, Janet Johnson,
both of Easton; brother Thomas of Palmer Township; sisters,
Esther Parker and Catherine Romig, both of Weatherly, eight
grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Strunk Funeral Home, Berwick Street
at Reynolds, Easton. Call 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
