Carl O. Sandt, Operated Store In Palmer Twp.
Carl O. Sandt, 74, of 2511 Burrowes St., Palmer Township, who operated a grocery store at his home address, died yesterday afternoon in Easton Hospital where he was admitted Feb 21.
Born Dec. 27, 1895, in Easton, he was a son of the late Oliver and Emma Beitler Sandt. His wife, Mamie Reed Sandt, died in1934.
Mr. Sandt was a grinder for the Ingersoll-Rand Co. 30 years retiring in 1947. He operated the grocery store from 1929 until last January.
He was of the United Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include three sons, Carl O. Sandt Jr., palmer Township; *****. Easton, and Herbert A., Wilson; two daughters, *****, Easton, and Mrs. *****, Wilson, and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in South Easton Cemetery.
