In reply from Genforum about
John Ruth, owner of the Black horse tavern in Williams Township, it
was noted Henry Frankenfield help with the building of the Black Horse
Tavern, now I need to find out how Sarah is related to John Ruth.
According to Ruth Bailey
Allen book on John George Ruth. Your John Ruth was born 27 Dec 1773
, bpt 2 Apr 1774, sponsors were John & Anna Maria
Klinker. Springfield Church records. He married Elizabeth Mann, dau
of John Mann 17 Oct, 1797. John served in the war of 1812 as a substitute
for Thomas McRoy
in Capt Samuel Wilson Company of Bucks Co, Militia. It says John supposedly
built the Black Horse Tavern two and one half miles south of Easton.
John was the son of John George Ruth Jr & Christina Ruth nee ???
No death dates given in book
According to Alfred Patton
Davidson, Sarah Ruth appears in the Mortality Census of 1850.
