William P. Osterstock
William P. Osterstock, an old and well-known resident of Esaton, died at 6 o'clock this morning of genral debility at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ausbin Serfass, 533 North Fourth Street, Allentown, where he had been living for the past two years. He would have reached the age of 90 years on December 19, of this year.
Mr. Osterstock was born in Easton a wire-drawer at the Stewart Mills on the South Side. After that concern went out of buinsess he became janitor at the R. & H. Simon silk mills, this city, and held that position until his retirnement. He formerly lived at 317 Nesquehoning Street,South Side, and of recent years resided with his son-in-law, George H. Gies, at 20 South Eleventh Street. h had been ill for the past two weeks.
His wife who was the formlery Miss Mary Barrington, of the South Side,, died 22 years ago. He is survived by three daughters, Mis Mary Osterstock and Mrs. George H. Gies, of this city, and Mrs. Ausbin Searfass, of Allentown and one son, Edwin, of Bloomfield, N.J. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, this city. |
