Arlene A. Kaltenbach -- Dixie Cup employee
Arlene A. Kaltenbach, 89, formerly of North Delaware Drive,
Easton, died Saturday, Jan. 22, in the home of her granddaughter,
Kim Staton, of 621 Alaska St., Bethlehem, with whom she resided.
She was a re-inspector for the former Dixie Cup in Wilson Borough
for 34 years, retiring in 1975. Born Nov. 9, 1910 in Easton,
she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Laura Shimer Mutchler.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Easton
and was a Sunday school teacher. She graduated from Easton
High School, Class of 1928. She was a former Easton city
council president for two years and a former Easton High School
PTA president for four years.
Her first husband, Charles E.
Kaltenbach, died in 1964. Her second husband, Edgar C. Dickerson,
died in October of 1999. She kept her first husband's last
name. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Pheiff in Florida;
a son, Charles R. Kaltenbach, Sr. of Herndon, Pa; six grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ashton Funeral Home,
14th and Northampton streets, Easton. Call 1 p.m. until
time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be
in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The family requests memorials
to American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 2121 City
Line Road, PO Box 90127, Allentown, PA 18109.
