Donald Murray, 59, of Alexandria, Va., formerly of Easton,
died Nov. 21 after being stricken at the Penn State vs. Notre
Dame football game in University Park. He was the husband of
Mary (Palchak) Murray.
A 1950 graduate of Pennsylvania State, he was a pharmacist
for People's Drug Co., Alexandria.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Owen Murray and Jennie
Murray Arnold.
Also a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he played
in the Penn State vs. SMU Cotton Bowl game in 1947.
A 1946 graduate of Easton High School, Murray was voted the
most valuable football player in his senior year.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Alexandria.
He served in the Army, 1950-52.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter
four sons, a sister, and two step-sisters.
The DeMaine Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of arrangements. |
