L. U. Miller, Former Store Manager, 69
Laurence U. Miller, 69, died of a heart attack last night at his home, 909 Spring Garden St., Easton.
Born in Lower Mount Bethel Township, he was a son of the late William S. and Margaret Uhler Miller. He lived in Easton most of his life.
Mr. Miller retired five years ago as general manager of the J.M. Kiefer hardware Store, Easton, where he had worked for 43 years. He served overseas with the U. S Army during World War I.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Third Lutheran Church; Brown and Lynch America Legion post and Lehicton Lodge, IOOF, all in Easton.
Mr. Miller’s wife, the former Helen Pittenger, died in 1948. A sister, Miss Edith G. Miller, at home, is the only survivor.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Heck Memorial Home, Easton. |
