George McPeek, 71, was Riegel Paymaster
George McPeek, 71, died yesterday at his home in Riegelsville,
N.J.
Mr. McPeek was born in the house in which he died, a son of
the late Morris and Ella Brotzman McPeek.
He was formerly employed by the Riegel Paper Corp. as a paymaster.
He worked for the company 49 years until he retired in June
1956.
He was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club and
Old Timers Club, and St. Peter's Lutheran church, Riegelsville.
In earlier years he served as treasurer and financial secretary
of the church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Katherine Laubach, a sister,
Mrs. Florence Lippincott, Upper Black Eddy, and a brother,
Frank Raub, Washington Crossing, N.J.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. tuesday at the Robert
W. Snyder Funeral Home, Riegelsville. |
