William J. McCabe Jr., 87, of 208 W. Berwick St., Easton,
died Monday in his home. He was the husband of the late Grace
(Kuebler) McCabe.
He was an Easton police officer for about 24 years before
retiring in 1953. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late
William J. Sr. and Emma E. (Altenbach) McCabe.
He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Easton.
He served with the Navy during World War I and was a chief
petty officer during World War II.
McCabe played football for Lafayette College.
Surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday in the church. There will be no calling hours. The
Curran- Finegan Funeral Home, Wilson, is in charge of arrangements..
