Self-Inflicted Wounds Fatal to Riegelsville Man
Thomas Lippincott, age 50 years a well known resident of Riegelsville,
N.J., died at 10:30 this morning in the Easton Hospital from
gun shot wounds in the abdomen. Lippincott had been admitted
to the institution only 15 minutes before his death.
For a number of years deceased had been employed as baggagemaster
at the Pennsylvania Railroad station at Riegelsville. During
the past several years Mr. Kippincott has suffered a decline
in health and this morning while in a despondent mood and belived
to have been temporairly insane, took a shot gun, pointed the
barrel to his stomach and shot himself. He was rushed to the
Easton Hospital but the journey was of no avail.
There survive his widow, Fannie Lippincott, and two sons,
Harry of Riegelsville, Pa., and Ralph Lippincott, at home.
Coroner Walter Cathrall, of Northampton County was summoned
and after hearing the facts issued a certificate of death by
suicede while temporary insane. |
