Charles W. Laubach, Wilson Resident, 78
Charles W. Laubach, 78m, of 2134 hay St. Wilson died at 12:30 a.m. today at his home. Ill for six years he had been seriously ill for the last two years.
Mr. Laubach was a maintenance man at Betts Hospital for 33 years. He retired about six years ago.
Born in Finesville, he was a son of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Huff Laubach. He resided in Wilson about 39 years.
He was a member of Memorial united Church of Christ and it’s Men’s Bible Class. He had been a deacon and elder for 27 years. He was elder emeritus for the last four years.
Surviving are his widow, the former Lizzie Shoemaker; a daughter, Miss Ruth S. Laubach, at home; a son, Lester B., Finesville, a sister, Mrs. Laura Crouse, Bloomsbury; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Memorial United church of Christ, Wilson. |
