Notes:
William was born in Raubsville, Williams Township, Northampton
County, PA. Anna Gertrude Bachman was also born in Williams
Township, a daughter of John Uhler Bachman and his wife Anna
Amelia Wilhelm. William was first engaged in construction and
a sand and gravel business in Raubsville. In 1911 he organized
the Warren Sand and Gravel Company of Carpentersville, NJ and
had served as its president and general manager of that company
since its organization. He moved to Easton in about 1892. He
was an active member of the First Reformed Church in Easton.
He was prominent in Masonic Circles and belonged to Easton
Lodge, NO 152, F & AM and Easton Forest NO. 35, Tall Cedars
of Lebanon.
